Casual Dining in Scottsdale
Zinc
Bristo
Inspired by bistros in Europe and States, Terry
Ellisor (owner) came up with a charming place in the heart of Kierland
Commons. Chef and co-owner Matt Carter, who has worked under Chris
Gross, Michael DeMaria and Thomas Keller, is one of the best young
chefs in the Valley. The short ribs were delicious, but the bordelaise
sauce really made it great. Also, try the flat iron steak.
Skeptical
Chymist

pub. Blessed with a wealth of fresh ingredients, modern irish cooks
create a sophisticated, contemporary style of cookery. Explore the
new flavours bursting forth,on to the irish culinary scene.
Brennan's
Sports Bar
(480) 951-8837
This family owned Scottsdale Sports bar is located
in north Scottsdale on the corner of Scottsdale Road and Thunderbird
(SW Corner). The Scottsdale Airpark Magazine described it as the
"Cheers" of the Airpark area. A variety of mexican dishes.
Great salza. Hamburgers are a neighborhood favorite. If you belly
up to the bar, you might just see celebrities like Bob Uecker (sportscaster)
or Rex Chapman (former Phoenix Suns). If you play golf in North
Scottsdale, drop by here after for a "Brennan Burger"
and beer. Want
to meet the owner?
The
Horny Toad
While this one is in Cave Creek (Scottsdale's
northern border), it is a favorite of many Scottsdale residents.
Cave Creek is a really cool town with other great restaurants, but
the Horny Toad has a nice relaxed southwest atmosphere with good
food.
Old
Town Tortilla Factory
A place with good food and a great atmosphere
in Old Town Scottsdale. Old Town Tortilla Factory is located in
the heart of Old Town Scottsdale in the charming art district. Built
from an historic 75-year old Scottsdale adobe home.
Pizza
Picazzo Restaurant
Located on Frank Lloyd Wright in North Scottsdale,
turn right if going north on Scottsdale Road. Excellent gourmet
pizza. A nice calming atmosphere, and always seem to be playing
good music in there to ad to the relaxing atmosphere.
Pink Pony Steak House
3831 North Scottsdale Road
A Scottsdale legend in old Town Scottsdale.
The dining room is cowboy, but the bar is purely a sports shrine.
Baseball's Cactus League games are played at the nearby Scottsdale
Stadium and both players and fans can be found drinking and dining.
Steaks and prime ribs hit home runs here.
